Refugee Education Programme
A landmark 2023 MoU made MOAUM the first Nigerian university to formally admit refugees under a tuition-free arrangement. Five Cameroonian refugees have been matriculated into undergraduate programmes, with scholarships and accommodation waivers, reflecting the University's inclusive, humanitarian leadership philosophy.

Amnesty International Human Rights Clinic
MOAUM became one of the first Nigerian universities to host an Amnesty International Human Rights Clinic, giving students across faculties a platform for human rights education and advocacy. In the same year, the Centre mentored Miss Sandra Idoko, a 500-Level Law student, to victory at the Amnesty International National Intervarsity Debate — defeating Veritas University, Ahmadu Bello University, the University of Benin and the University of Ibadan.

Undergraduate Research Grant Scheme
₦750,000The Undergraduate Research Grant Scheme, coordinated by the Centre for Advancement and Linkages, supports final-year students with outstanding academic performance. All six 2023/2024-session grants were disbursed in April 2024.

For the December 2024 convocation, the Centre for Advancement and Linkages sought out benefactors and secured 31 endowed prizes worth a combined ₦2,910,000 for graduating students — after the previous convocation closed with no externally-endowed prizes at all.

Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies (GBViE) — with UNFPA
Developed with the University's Centre for Gender Studies following a UNFPA-delivered, 10-day Training of Trainers in which 40 University staff were certified as GBViE resource persons — a programme ladder designed to serve development-sector field officers while generating revenue through high external subscription.
Short Courses — with the Nigerian Air Force
Developed with the Centre for Gender Studies for the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters Centre for Gender and Human Rights; more than 500 officers are expected to attend annually over five years, pending sign-off.
